Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Leitters Cottage is set within 16 acres and skirted by Leitters Forrest, with spectacular views to the Braes of Balquhidder.
This stone built cottage was originally a barn on Leitters farm and dates back to the 1700’s. Now though it is a comfortable and contemporary three bedroom holiday let. It offers everything you might ask for from a self-catering holiday, with special attention given to comfort, convenience and relaxation.
On entering the cottage you’ll walk into an open plan living area with a vaulted ceiling, you’ll find comfy sofa’s where you can cosy up in front of the wood burning stove or take in the breathtaking mountain scenery. To make your life easy the kitchen area has all mod cons including washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. You can have a restful night sleep in one of the three comfortable bedrooms, downstairs there’s a twin and double room and up the spiral staircase to the second level there’s a second twin room. The cottage has a shower room, a bathroom and a disabled access toilet.
Outside the cottage, you will find a patio area where you can sit and take in the scenery and wildlife. Red and Roe deer will visit at dawn and dusk, red squirrel live in the pine trees to the side of the cottage. If your lucky you will spot pine martins and you will certainly see the buzzards hunting for prey. Hebridean sheep are grazing in the field to the front of the cottage as are our native breed pony and horse.
Our Rates are inclusive of plump fluffy towels, percale bed linen, logs for the fire, and if you have small children we can provide a cot, highchair, books and toys.
